你需要一个载体将灵感来源整理展示出来,才能看到某个故事、某幢建筑、某些场景……是如何从一个从毫不起眼的瞬间,成长为现在的模样。
今年的 V-Ray Station Challenge ,就围绕“ Your source of inspiration(你的灵感之源)”这一主题,给你一个回望与检视自己创作来源的机会。
Chaos Group 全球渲染挑战赛你一定不陌生,这场全球性的活动目的是为了在学生人群中培养人才,激发创造力。
为了能让更多中国学生参与渲染类竞赛,逐步与国际竞赛接轨,我们与 Chaos Group 历经4个月的深入讨论、沟通,终于在今天,将 V-Ray Station Challenge 呈现在你眼前。
我们期待通过这场与 Chaos Group 共同举办的比赛,发掘更多中国的年轻艺术家,同时,也让更多学生有机会获得并使用正版 V-Ray。
我们更期待今后看到越来越多的中国学生在国际赛事中大展拳脚,让世界看到中国创意!

Your Source of Inspiration
What inspires you? Every artist has moments where their creativity dips or they feel their project isn't good enough. But inspiration is a magical tonic that powers us through times of frustration and helps us produce our most incredible work.
For this year's rendering challenge, we're asking you to depict your source of inspiration. It could be a quiet place in the city or country where you can take a step back from your work, a person or muse who helps you through rough patches or something more abstract, such as your spirit animal. It's entirely up to you!

是什么给了你启发?每一位艺术家都会有这样的时刻,感觉自己创造力枯竭或是面对当前的作品不甚满意。但灵感则像是一剂灵丹妙药,它在挫折的时候给予我们力量,帮助我们创造出最不可思议的作品。
在今年的渲染挑战中,我们希望你通过渲染作品描绘出你的灵感之源。它或许是城市中、田野中带你远离繁忙工作的一个安静角落,或许是某个帮助你度过坎坷历程的人物或缪斯女神,抑或是像你的灵兽、守护神之类更加抽象的事物。你的灵感来源是什么?来用你的作品告诉我们吧!

Participants are students (including middle school students, junior college students, undergraduate students, graduate students, doctors) and graduates within two years.
在校学生(包含中学生、专科本科学生、研究生、博士)以及毕业两年内的大学生。
The judging committee will directly select a grand prize winner through judging, and at the same time select five to ten contestants to advance to the final. For the finalists, the second and third winners will be selected through the judging committee and the audience, with a weight ratio of 60% of the committee and 40% of the audience. Voting will be launched on VrayStation Wechat public platform on August 10, 2020. For specific voting calculation methods, see the “Official Competition Rules“page 3.4.
评审小组会通过评审,直接评选出一名大奖获得者,并同时选出五至十名晋级决赛的选手。对入围决赛的选手,将通过评审小组与观众共同进行投票的评选方式,选出第二名和第三名获奖者。
投票比重为:评审小组60%,观众40%3. 投票将在2020年8月10日,在 VRayStation 官方公众号开启。具体投票计算方式,见官方比赛规则详情页 3.4 条。

Artist: Ivona Alexandrov
Winner of Chaos Group's THU raffle at Total Chaos 2019. This render depicts the artist's inspiring experience at THU 2019.
Ana joined Chaos Group’s V-Ray for Revit team in 2016, where she took various roles. Currently, she is responsible for product management. Ana is also a working architect with over 10 years of experience in Autodesk Revit and BIM.
Dai from 2008 to the present, he has mainly been engaged in the production of games and film and television special effects related industries. Participated in the material and lighting synthesis work of movie projects such as "Legend of Ravaging Dynasties(爵迹)" and "Monster Catching 2(捉妖记2)". For the material rendering module in the offline rendering of the renderer and the real-time rendering of the game engine, there are very rich work experience in large projects. From the very beginning of the release of V-Ray for Maya, he has been engaged in the creation and free sharing of V-Ray for Maya renderer tutorials, which has affected the generation of V-Ray users on the maya platform. At present, he is engaged in the production and development of 3A games as a TA in Game Science company, focusing on the rendering direction of lighting materials. The spare time in his personal life is also the creation of offline rendering and the free sharing of rendering knowledge for many years.
After 15 years of TV and Film production trotting the globe, Emanuele found a home at Chaos Group. Here, he spends his time researching various topics, creating proofs of concept, benchmarking us and the competition, and generally supporting the team with anything they may need. He's always impressed by high attention to detail, by resilience in the face of adversity, and by natural talents sharpened over time into exceptional tools.
Han is a long-time user of V-Ray for SketchUp and a blog writer based in Tianjin, China. He has been sharing his experiences along with best-practice tips and tricks for V-Ray for SketchUp since 2012. He regularly updates his Bilibili channel with video tutorials and has over 60,000 subscribers following his lessons. Han joined Chaos Group in 2019 where he continues to share his knowledge and information about V-Ray with Chinese users.
Ivona is a 3D artist with a diverse background. She passionate about Computer Graphics, Traditional Arts and Science. A particular interest of her is the intersection of these together and using technology as a bridge to achieving photorealism and pushing boundaries on the screen. She started her journey in CG back in 2011in her school in Bulgaria. Ivona and her classmates were reconstructing and visualizing jewellery from the 10th Century. She immediately fell in love with technology and this passion led to an exciting career in the UK. Her first encounter with CG was when she was just 14 years old and when she look back, she blown away by the advancements in the area. Ivona admire even more the phenomenal realism of the 3D lighting systems combined with photography-like parameters and amazing material handling.
Lora joined the Chaos Group company in 2019. Currently, she is part of the Education team and she is responsible for theeducation side of the business. Her academic background is in Spanish Language and History of Art. She is very passionate about art, books and photography.
Nikolay Bulev is an industry-experienced CG Specialist who has been passionate about 3D for more than 15 years. Before joining Chaos Group in 2018, he was a freelancer for various companies in the architecture, and interior and product design industries. At Chaos, he is responsible for crafting various conceptual designs and creating 3D content and imagery.
Tom is the Marketing Specialist at Chaos Group. Before joining the team in 2016, he worked in the industry as a freelance 3D artist, programmer, and additionally worked for 10 years as a marketing specialist for various 3D software companies around the world. He specializes in 3D illustration and animation.
Veso joined the Chaos Group CG team in 2015. He is actively involved in creating 3D content and videos for workflow training and product launches. Veso holds a Master’s degree in Digital Media from the Technical University of Denmark. He is passionate about computer graphics and photography.
Shusen is a V-Ray Mentor in China mainland who graduated in architecture and now focuses on architectural visualization. Shusen Zhao has extensive experience in V-Ray and is constantly excited about learning and staying up to date with the latest technology — as well as teaching everything he knows to others.
